The Foundation for Digital Justice (FDJ) is a non-profit legal and advocacy organisation dedicated to advancing and defending human rights in Africa's digital age.
We believe technology should serve people by expanding freedom, strengthening democracy, and improving lives, not become a tool for repression, discrimination, or abuse. We hold government institutions and technology companies accountable for violations of fundamental rights.
We fight to advance and protect digital rights and freedoms by defending freedom of expression, privacy, online safety, and the right to protest and organise online; promoting access to justice and legal reform; challenging unlawful surveillance and censorship; advancing platform accountability and human rights-centred artificial intelligence; and strengthening digital democracy and governance.
Through strategic litigation, legal and policy advocacy, research and grassroots mobilization, we work to defend digital rights, challenge violations and promote policies that protect the rights and freedoms of Nigerians in the digital space.
